About GATERON Quinn Tactile Switch
The Gateron Quinn Switch is a tactile switch from Gateron that offers a feel similar to the Baby Kangaroo switch but with a distinct sound profile. It features the same 22mm double-staged spring and tactile stem, delivering a satisfying tactile response. The peak of the conventional tactile switch occurs around 1-1.5mm, with a smaller drop, while the Quinn’s peak is 0.5mm with a larger drop, making the tactile bump more pronounced and noticeable. The Quinn stands out with its full nylon housing, made from high-toughness, wear-resistant, and smooth POM material, making it a unique variation of an already exceptional tactile switch.
This switch has a 59±15g operating force and a 5-pin design for better stability. The 22mm double-stage spring is crafted from SUS304 high-hardness material, offering excellent resilience and rigidity, while the gold plating on the spring improves oxidation and corrosion resistance. The pin has been upgraded with a three-layer construction, making it harder, reducing pin deformation, and ensuring a more reliable connection for a longer lifetime. Additionally, the switch comes with light factory lubrication to reduce friction and enhance performance.
